Leonora Baumann is a French-German freelance photojournalist based in France. After studying fine arts, she completed a Bachelor's degree in photography and a university diploma in transmedia storytelling. She has worked as a freelance photographer for the press, several NGOs and UN Agency's in Haïti, the Democratic Republic of Congo and in France.
Her personal work focuses on environmental matters and gender issues. It questions the transformation of various societies where poverty, conflicts, but also the widespread use of the internet, are challenging ancestral traditions.
In 2017 she joined the Strategic Communications and Public Information Office of the United Nations Mission in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) for two years as a multimedia specialist, documenting different aspects of the mission's activities.
